Iris communicates like a regular 1 year old - occasional recognizable signs (food, more, please) and sounds (doggy, bye bye) between many grunts, cries, reaches and points.

Iris got to open one of her Christmas presents today (per the request of the sender) - she sure enjoyed it!

We did the Christmas run today!

Erik, Iris and I all did the 10km Christmas run today. It was cold, but nice to be outside, (deeply) breathing the fresh air. Notice Iris's thumb sticking out of the snowsuit - all the better to suck it in times of need (yes - she is still an avid thumbsucker - we're saving up for future dental bills!)

What goes in must come out (eventually...)
